Gift bags make great book covers.  Cut off the bottom of the gift bag and down the middle of one side panel.  Now you can lay the bag out flat.  Next, use the fold on one side to attach the pages your students have written.  With handles already attached, they are easy to display and to store.  I have my students check them out to share with their families.  Look for fun theme bags next time you are at Walmart or the Dollar Store to put together your next class book!

  1. Great idea! My kiddos just put together a class birthday book with a cute birthday gift bag I had stashed away. It turned out really cute. The kids love reading it and discovering when their birthdays are. Thanks for posting!
