Have your students make spider sandwiches out of two slices of bread, sandwich spread, raisins, and cheese curls or pretzels.
- Give students each two slices of bread. You can pre-cut or have the kids cut (using a cookie cutter) the bread slices into circles.
- Next, have them spread about two tablespoons of sandwich spread (soy butter or spreadable cheese) on one of the bread circles.
- Then students press eight cheese curls or pretzel sticks in the sandwich spread half way around each circle to make the legs of the spider.
- Last, they place the second bread circle on top.
- Use raisins to make the eyes.
- Have students draw a spider web with a black marker on the edges of a white paper plate before they place their finished spider on it.
Great center activity! They are really cute and the kids love making them.
