Studying Seasons Poster Board Book

Fall is a good time to introduce little ones to learning about the seasons. Here is a great activity to end your unit with a bang.

Divide your kids into four groups. Each group receives a large poster board, is assigned a season and is to brainstorm what comes to mind for that particular season. Have students incorporate words and pictures to describe their season. They can brainstorm different activities they might do, kinds of clothes they might wear, special foods they eat, games they play etc. They can use old magazines and catalogs to cut out pictures that remind them of their assigned season.

Groups can share their posters. You can then use a strong tape to tape each poster board together in book form with a cover in front.

Now you have a fun book to review the unit later on that children will love to read.
