Using dice to practice addition, subtraction or even multiplication, depending on the grade you teach, is always a great way to teach math to younger kids. When I put together math games using dice, I take some of the dice and cover them with masking tape and add my own numbers / operations with permanent marker. When 3 dice are rolled of which one is the operations cube the student must perform to rolled operation with the other 2 rolled numbers.
