To always know where my students are, I have a Where Are You? Chart located by the door of my classroom. On the chart I have places within the school listed (words or pictures, depending on the grade). Students clip the clothespin with their name next to the location they are going to when they leave the classroom and remove it as they enter. With one glance, everyone is accounted for.
