Each year I put up a pumpkin patch bulletin board.
First I have my students paint paper plates. Once dried, I have the kids cut a pumpkin shape out the plates as well as a stem and leaf that I have traced onto green construction paper.
The bulletin usually has a tree with colorful leaves in the middle, a bucket of apples under the tree and all the wonderful pumpkins around. I have a scarecrow off to the side to give the display a 3-D feel.
We always go on a field trip to an apple/pumpkin farm, so I take lots of pictures of the children and put those up as a border.
Parents and kids love finding their pumpkins as well as looking at pictures while waiting outside my room during conference time.
