Whether you color and cut out or buy a picture of a large turkey, hang it without feathers in the center of your bulletin board or on the wall. Challenge your kids to see how many books they can read during the month of November. As you finish reading a book as a class, have your helper for the day write down the title of that book on a feather and tape it up to the turkey. To add a fun math challenge, have your students estimate how many feathers they think the turkey will have by the end of the month! Kids will be beggin’ for story time and it makes for an fun, interactive and seasonal decoration.
