Christmas Wreath Craft

I just did this with my kids and it was simple enough for my first graders to do without much assistance.

I used a paper paper plates with the center cut out as the backing.  Have children trace their hands on a piece of green construction paper.  They need to trace and cut about 10 hands for each wreath.  Next, they glue their hand prints together in wreath shape on to the paper plate.  You can have them add red bows, either pre-made or they can make these out od red construction paper.  Glitter is also fun to decorate the wreaths with.  Voila – now they have a beautiful wreath to take home for the holidays.
